Welcome to the Home page of Cottage Identity Inverclyde.

We are a group of friends with a shared passion for the history of our local area, Inverclyde (Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow, with nearby villages) on the west coast of Scotland. We first came together, under the auspices of Inverclyde Development Trust,  as part of a group working on a project entitled Identity, which culminated in a memorable stage production in Greenock Sugar Sheds. We also contributed to some of the Trust's publications. 

When the Trust ceased operations we decided to stay together to work on other projects connected with the history and heritage of Inverclyde. We meet every Tuesday morning in Greenock South West Library, Barr's Cottage, hence our name: Cottage Identity. New members are welcome.
